30 medical examinations were carried out during the year in respect
of new appointments and persons on whom special reports were required
in connection with absence through sickness.

Three burials were carried out under this Act at a total cost of
£56.2.6. In two instances the expenses were recovered from death grants
and in the third instance the cost of the burial was recovered from the
estate of the deceased.
Two exhumations were carried out during the year and on each
occasion the Chief Public Health Inspector was present.
