SMALLPOX AND VACCINATION.
No case of Smallpox was notified. Of the 170 births registered
in Stoke Newington during 1945, 83, or 48.8 per cent were success
fully vaccinated.
TUBERCULOSIS.
There were notified 91 new cases of pulmonary and 11 new cases
of non-pulmonary tuberculosis. The death rate per 1,000 of the
population was 0.39 for pulmonary tuberculosis (17 deaths.)
