Frequent inspections were made of the premises in the Borough
where food is sold or prepared. The contents of barrows of itinerant
vendors and the stalls in the Market Place in Wordsworth Road
also has considerable attention with satisfactory results.
BAKEHOUSES.
There are 27 bakehouses in the Borough, 20 of these being
underground Inspections were made twice during the year. In
three instances it was found necessary to require the owners to
lime white and cleanse walls.
DAIRIES, COWSHEDS AND MILKSHOPS.
There are at present 68 Milk Vendors registered in the Borough,
and one Licensed Cowkeeper.
The premises were all inspected during the year. It was only
found necessary to serve two notices for cleansing.
