Inspections were made of premises where food is sold
or prepared for sale in the Borough, the material and trade
utensils being thoroughly examined. Owing to present difficulties
in transport, large quantities of perishable goods are frequently
held up for a considerable period; this fact accounts for the record
amount of food destroyed in the Borough during 1915.
ICE-CREAM MANUFACTURERS AND VENDORS.
The premises of all ice-cream manufacturers in the Borough
were visited from time to time during the summer months, as also
