The report is somewhat shorter this year; this is in accordance
with the suggestion from the Local Government Board that
Medical Officers of Health should confine their reports to a record
of what has taken place during the year, and thus effect an
economy in labour and printing expenses.
It will be seen that a satisfactory amount of public health
work has been performed during the past year, and 1 have
pleasure in testifying to the efficiency and zeal of each member
of the staff.
