By comparison with the preceding year there were more
deaths from Measles, Diphtheria, Scarlet Fever, Enteric Fever,
and Influenza; but fewer deaths from Summer Diarrhoea and
Dysentery. The higher rate is mainly due to the great increase
of the deaths from Measles and Influenza.
