INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND THE MEASURES TAKEN
TO PREVENT THEIR SPREAD.
It will be seen from Table VI. that 424 Notification Certificates
of Infectious Illness were received from medical practitioners,
as against 343 during the preceding year. These figures
include notifications of Consumption, acute Polio.myelitis, and
Ophthalmia Neonatorum; and they represent a marked increase
in the prevalence of communicable disease, as compared with the
figures for 1913.
