INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND THE MEASURES TAKEN
TO PREVENT THEIR SPREAD.
It will be seen from Table VI. that 343 Notification Certificates
of Infectious Illness were received from medical practitioners,
as against 346 during the preceding year. These figures
include notifications of Consumption, acute Polio-myelitis, and
Ophthalmia Neonatorum; and they represent a slight decrease in
the prevalence of communicable disease, as compared with the
figures for 1911-
