The Infectious Sickness Rate for London generally was 4.5 Of
the 29 Sanitary Areas situated within the Metropolis, the lowest
rates were those of Hampstead (2.6), Stoke Newington and City of
Westminster (3.1), Chelsea (3.2); and the highest rates were those
of Woolwich (6), Bermondsey (5.9), and Finsbury (5.6).
138 of the cases notified were removed from their homes to
Isolation Hospitals.
