The mortality from Cancer, Influenza and Diseases of the Nervous
System, on the other hand, was disproportionately high in the
Northern Division.

Zymotic Mortality.—Included in the Zymotic mortality are the
deaths from the seven principal Zymotic diseases, viz., Small-pox,
Measles, Scarlet Fever, Diphtheria, Whooping Cough, "Fever"
(including Enteric Fever, Typhus Fever, and Simple Continued
Fever), and Diarrhoea. In Table A3 the deaths from each of the
Zymotic Diseases (including Influenza) are given.

The Zymotic Death-rate for the Borough was1.09 per 1,000 per annum, as against 1.27 in the preceding year.
