In addition to the above a number of nuisances have been abated
as the result of personal advice to the occupiers of premises.
SLAUGHTER HOUSES.
The eight Slaughter-houses in the Borough have been frequently
inspected, and are in a satisfactory condition.
COMMON LODGING HOUSES.
The one common Lodging-house in the Borough is under the
control of the London County Council, and is maintained in accordance
with the bye-laws.
BAKEHOUSES.
There are 28 Bakehouses in the Borough, 20 of these being
constructed underground. They have been twice inspected during the
year, and found to be kept in a satisfactory condition.
DAIRIES, COWSHEDS, AND MILKSHOPS
There are 51 Milkshops and 2 Cowsheds in the Borough, all of
which have been inspected. Two intimation notices were served
during the year on occupiers to cleanse premises.
