The Infectious Sickness Rate for London generally was 8.9
and of the 43 Sanitary Areas situated within the Metropolis, the
lowest rates were those of Chelsea (5.3), City of Westminster (5.8),
and Kensington and Hampstead (5.9), and the highest were Holborn
(13.1), Bethnal Green and Bermondsey (12.9), and Hackney (11.4).
239 of the cases notified were removed from their homes to
Isolation Hospitals.
