ERYSIPELAS.
During 1900, in Lambeth 15 deaths were registered from
Erysipelas, as compared with 17 for 1899, and an annual
average of 17.9 during the last 10 years (1890—1899).
234 cases were notified, giving a case mortality of 64%
In London, during 1900, there were registered 182 deaths out of a total of 4,776 cases notified, giving a case mortality of 3.8% (uncorrected).

The advantages from the notification of Erysipelas are
few, and the majority of cases notified as Erysipelas are
not such as were contemplated by the framers of the
Notification Act.
