Changes in Registration of Deaths.
The Registrar-General decided to publish from January
1st, 1911, in his annual reports, an analysis of
deaths according to administrative areas instead of
registration areas as hitherto, and this decision necessitates
a complete distribution of the deaths of persons dying
away from their homes to the administrative areas in which
they had previously resided.
Reports were received quarterly during 1912 from the
Registrar-General—a total of 75 deaths—on slips giving
particulars of deaths assigned to the Borough of Lambeth,
in addition to those occurring in London or in the Metropolitan
Institutions, which are still reported as hitherto.
The tables at the end of the Report (Appendix), known
as the Local Government Board Tables, have been revised
and modified, in consequence, and will give accurate
corrected statistics of deaths within the Borough of Lambeth
(differing slightly from the statistics in the body of the
Report), the figures required for the necessary corrections
being those supplied by the Registrar-General. These
Registrar-General's figures for 1912 are as follow:—
