The health of children and staffs in the War-time day Nurseries
has been good, and the training of Probationers has been specially
successful. Eleven Probationers have sat the examination for the
Nursery Nurses' Diploma. All have passed and five have gained
distinction. Credit for this is due to the excellent course of lectures
and demonstrations which the Probationers have had at the Northwestern
Polytechnic, to the great interest in the teaching taken by
the Matrons and Medical Officers at the Nurseries and to the Probationers
themselves for their keen and intelligent interest in the work.
