Patients are also sent to the Middlesex County Council's
general hospitals and to numerous other voluntary hospitals and
sanatoria.
The total number of cases on the Tuberculosis Register at
the end of 1940 was 853, viz., pulmonary 651, non-pulmonary 202,
an increase of 9 on the total for last year.
A table showing the history of cases of Tuberculosis during
the year will be found on Table H.
MORTUARY.
One hundred bodies were received at the mortuary and
inquests held on 19 of them.
DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACTS.
Mr. F. G. Buxton, the Veterinary Inspector, has kindly
supplied me with details of his work in the Borough under the
Diseases of Animals Acts and Orders during 1940 as follows:—
