The "appointed clay" under the Act for Hornsey was fixed
as 1st January, 1937.
The work of measuring of houses for " permitted numbers
(Form B) was commenced in December, 1936, and is approaching
completion at the time of writing, but the details of the result
will he furnished in the Report for 1937.
At the end of 1936, however, the 188 overcrowded cases,
representing 995 persons, were reduced by 47, leaving, with one
additional case discovered, a total of 142 overcrowded cases.
During the year 1936 83 families, representing 397 persons, were re-housed as follows:—
