ORTHOPÆDIC TREATMENT.
A joint (Maternity and Child Welfare and Education Committees)
scheme for the early diagnosis and treatment and
prevention of crippling conditions in children from birth to schoolleaving
age has been in operation for about five years, and is
giving highly satisfactory results at relatively small cost. The
local centre of this scheme is at the School Clinic, and hospital
cases are admitted to the country branch of the Roval National
Orthopaedic Hospital at Stanmore.
