The Association remains convinced that the organised sport
produces excellent results, and definitely contributes to that training
of body, mind and character which is the educational ideal
of our times."
CO-OPERATION WITH PARENTS AND OTHERS.
Arrangements have been made for the distribution to parents
of small booklets giving useful information, not only on educational
matters, but also on questions relating to health. Certain
information from the Board of Education's table of exclusion
periods in infectious disease has also been included. Parents
continue to be present at medical inspections in fairly good numbers,
77.5 per cent. of those invited having attended during 1928.
The teaching staffs and attendance officers work in close
harmony with the school medical service. At the weekly clinic
held by the School Medical Officer the Chief Attendance Officer is
always present and all cases likely to present difficulty in one way
or another are there dealt with.
