During 1910 and 1911 there were rises in the Infantile Mortality
from what was the low record year of 1909, and these rises
were only slightly counterbalanced by the little fall of 1912. This
year the Infantile Mortality has iust beaten the previous record.

The Infantile Mortality at the four quarterly periods of 1913 was as follows :—

The saving this year is almost entirely confined to the first
month of life, and chiefly to the first week. In 1912 41 infants
died in the first week, but this number is reduced to 18 in 1913.
After the first month the number of infautile deaths is practically
the same as in 1912.
