Illegitimate Births.—There were 31 illegitimate births
recorded in 1910, and 27 in 1909, an increase of 4.
The proportion of illegitimate births of the total registered
births, 2'2 per cent., as compared with 1.7 per cent. last year,
and, though increased, is still very low.

Table: Eight of the illegitimate births occurred in the Edmonton Workhouse, and one in the New Edmonton Infirmary, and in the following table these have been allocated to the Wards of the Borough in which the mothers resided before gaining admission to the Workhouse:—
