Illegitimate Births.—.There were 27 illegitimate births
recorded in 1909, and 25 in 1908, an increase of 2.
The proportion of illegitimate births of the total registered
births is a very low one, viz.:—1.7 per cent.

Table: Eight of the illegitimate births occurred in the Edmontou Workhouse, and in the following table these have been allocated to the wards of the Borough in which the mothers resided before gaining admission to the Workhouse.
