In the above Table the population, birth-rate and death-rate for the year 1914
has been estimated from the Census Populations of 1901 and 1911. For the years 1915
to 1924 inclusive, the populations, births and birth-rates, deaths and death-rates, are as
estimated by the Registrar-General, founded upon his estimates of the Civilian population.
