REGULATIONS with respect to Souses let in Lodgings,
or occupied by members of more than one family, in
force in the Parish of St. Mary Islington.
INTERPRETATION OF TERMS.
1. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires, the following
words and expressions have the meanings hereinafter respectively
assigned to them ; that is to say—
" Registered Lodging-house ;"—a house or part of a house in the
Parish of St. Maiy Islington which is let in lodgings or occupied by
members of more than one family, and which is registered pursuant to
these Regulations.
" Landlord ; "—the person (whatever may be the nature or extent of
his interest in the premises) by whom such house or part of a house is
let in lodgings, or for occupation by members of more than one family ;
or who for the time being receives the rents arising from such letting,
whether on his own account or as Agent or Trustee for any other
person, or who would so receive the same if such house or part of a
house were let at a rent.
" Lodger ;"—a person to whom any room or rooms in such house or
part of a house may have been let as a lodging or for bis use and occupation.
