As regards the properties numbered 1 to 11, consisting of 65 houses, your
Surveyor, Mr. Higgins, to whom my reports were referred in the usual
course, reported that in his opinion they were incapable of structural improvement
and should be demolished, and in this opinion Mr. Collingwood
and myself most fully concurred.
The properties numbered 12 and 13, consisting of 7 houses, were reported
as being fit for certain structural alterations and repairs, and the requisite
works were duly set forth.
In respect to the property numbered 14, no report from the Surveyor
was laid before the Vestry.
The Vestry, however, determined not to make any order with reference
to the several properties under these Special Acts, in consequence of the
compensation clauses already referred to which would have been applicable to
all the houses, if the Vestry had ordered them either to be demolished or
to be repaired.
