"THE SALE OF FOOD AND DRUGS ACT, 1875."
Report of the Public Analyst appointed for the Parish of St. Mary,
Islington, upon the Articles analysed by him under the above Act
during the Quarter ending the 31 st March, 1882.
TO THE VESTRY OF ST. MARY, ISLINGTON.
Gentlemen,
During the quarter ending 31st March, I have examined 28
articles of food, viz.:—four of each of the following:—
Port Wine
Gin
Brandy
Rum
Ale
Porter
Milk
and also one sample of Flour submitted by an inhabitant.
Of these I certified one Milk as adulterated, the seller being fined on
the case being heard at the Court, £7 10s. and 2s. costs. No certificates
of adulteration were given in the other cases.
