* During the greater part of this period the Inspections, Disinfections, Burnings, &o., in connection with
the Small Pox Epidemic, and the necessary attention to Complaints, engrossed more than the ordinary
time of the Inspectors, to the unavoidable neglect of much other Sanitary work.
N.B.—From the 31st May, 1872, to the 25th March, 1872, the Inspector of Dust Visited 23,484 houses
and found that Dust was required to bo removed from 7,430 of these houses.
