For more than a year and a half I have regularly suspended at the
entrance of the Vestry Hall a daily record of meteorological observations
of the temperature, atmospheric humidity, and rain-fall. I append to
this Report, and shall append to future Monthly Reports, the adopted
means for each week, as calculated from these observations. The
observations are made in my garden at Compton Terrace with instruments
certified at Greenwich.

METEOROLOGY OF JANUARY.

The highest day temperature, observed on January 5th, was 53.50°.
The lowest night temperature, observed on January 24th, was 25.70°.
Range of temperature during the month, 27.80 degrees.
