REPORT
•ON THE
SANITARY CONDITION OF ST. MAM, ISLINGTON,
FOR FEBRUARY, 1868.
No. CXXX.
The mortality that has taken place during the four weeks ending
February 22nd has been again comparatively small. Three hundred
and six deaths only were registered, whereas 351 is the number which
the experience of the last ten years would hare led us to expect, when
the increase of our population is taken into account. With the
exception of Small Pox, the only deaths which have been registered in
excess of what is customary, are those from Apoplexy and Paralysis.
One death from Glanders was registered, the attack as usual originating
from contagion from the horse.
EDWARD BALLARD, M.D.,
Medical Officer of Health.
Vestry Offices,
February 29tht 1868.
