The deaths from fever have fallen from eleven in four weeks to
ten in five weeks. The cold weather and easterly winds which we have
suffered from during the month have had the effect of raising our deaths
from respiratory diseases to 104.
The general amount of sickness has been excessive, and cases of
diarrhœa have been more frequent than they usually are in the month
of March.
EDWARD BALLARD, M.D.,
Medical Officer of Health.
Vestry Offices,
April 8th, 1867.
