on the
SANITARY CONDITION OF ST. MARY, ISLINGTON,
FOR SEPTEMBER, 1865.

The mortality of Islington during the five weeks ending the 30th of
September was 306. The corrected mean mortality for September
during the previous nine years amounts to 318. There were five deaths
from small-pox, but with this exception the contagious diseases which
commonly attack children have been much less fatal than usual at this
season of the year. There were only 24 deaths from bowel complaints,
a diminution of one-fifth in the weekly average of last month.
