house there have been, up to the time of printing this Report, four cases
three of which have been fatal. The decline of small pox indicated in
my Report for June has become more pronounced, the number of new
cases which have come to my knowledge among the poor amounting to
25 (in place of 105 in June), the weekly numbers being 12, 5, 1, 5.
There were only two deaths of unvaccinated persons, viz.—
From 19a, Blundell Street, a Smith and Gas Fitter, aged 30 years (Unvaccinated.Died in s.p.hosp.)
From 1, North Buildings, a girl, aged 12 years (Unvaccinated Died in S.p. Hesp.)
The deaths from consumption (36), and from chronic diseases of the
liver (7), have been much more numerous than is usual at this season.
