Seventeen hundred and seven new cases of disease were entered on the books
of the several establishments from which I receive returns. Of these,
sixty-one were cases of measles, and ninety-one of scarlet fever. There were
also forty-nine cases of tonsillitis and other forms of sore throat.
EDWARD BALLARD, M.D.,
Medical Officer of Health.
