clothed, healthily lodged and well fed, and are in great measure removed from
the influence of infection and of those accidental circumstances which often
originate acute diseases out of doors : it is amongst these men, therefore, that
epidemic and atmospheric influences may be most clearly seen in operation.
The Fever Hospital, of course, admits patients from all parts of London. The
three columns relating to the Workhouse, Infant Poor-house, and out-patient
paupers, may be compared with the tables of sickness published in previous
monthly reports.
