Exhibition at the Town Hall, etc. A special lecture was given, addressed to
parents, on the "Formation of Character."
East Centre.— On the 8th October this Centre's Branch at Hurlock Street
was open for inspection all day, while on the 9th October the Main Centre
(Drayton Park) was open for inspection in the afternoon. On the 10th October,
at 8 p.m., in the Hall adjoining 10, Drayton Park, a lecture on " Infant Welfare "
was given by Sir Bruce Bruce-Porter, K.B.E., C.M.G., M.D.
West Centre.— On the following days lectures were given at 2.30 p.m.:
October 6th.-—"Arch of Health," by Miss Margaret Green. October 8th.—"Care
of the Teeth," by Miss Margaret Green. October 9th.—"Cooking Demonstration
" by " The Pudding Lady." The Centre was open for inspection on Monday
and Wednesday, 5th and 7th October.
In addition to the above, the Public Health Department arranged for the
exhibition of a film "Well-Born," obtained from the Ministry of Health. This
could not be fitted into the " Health Week " proper, so was shown on Thursday,
the 22nd October, in the hall of the new premises of the East Islington Welfare
Centre.
