INFANTILE MORTALITY.
Infant Deaths, 414; Mortality Rate, 63.—There were 414 deaths
among infants under twelve months old during the year, or 178 below the
decennial average (592), and they represented an infant mortality rate of 63 per
1,000 infants born. This rate is 20 per 1,000 births below the mean annual record
of the preceding ten years, and it is the lowest infant mortality rate recorded in
Islington.
