METEOROLOGY.
The mean temperature of the year was 50.1 degrees, which is exactly the
average for the preceding 65 years.
The rainfall was 23.78 inches, and was 0.34 inches below the average for the
preceding 65 years. In the year 1903 there was the large amount of 35.54 inches.
The total amount of bright sunshine recorded was 1,634 hours, out of a total
possible 4,458 hours or about 37 per cent., and it was 132 hours above the average
for the preceding 10 years.
