INQUESTS AND MORTUARY.
During the year 563 bodies were received into the Mortuary, as compared
with an average of 696 in the preceding 10 years. This is the smallest number
recorded in these years.
The daily average number of bodies received into the mortuary was 1*5,
as compared with 1.7 in 1907.
In 396 cases inquests were held, as contrasted with an average of 434 in the years 1898-1907.
