The Islington Cases.
Having now some insight into the epidemiology of Acute Poliomyelitis,
attention may be directed to the occurrence of the disease in Islington during
the year.

Altogether 19 cases of acute poliomyelitis have been notified up to the end of the year, but there has been no death. They are as follows:—

The clinical aspects of each of these cases were obtained from the Medical
attendant.
Recent inquiries with respect to the condition of these patients show that
their present state is as follows: —
1. Child walks a little lame, but otherwise her health is good.
2. Child still suffering from paralysis, but continues to attend St.
Bartholomew's Hospital.
