BIRTHS.
Altogether 8,211 births were registered, of which 4,267 were those of
males, and 3,944 of females. Of these births, 7,787 occurred in the Borough,
264 in the Lying-in Hospital, Finsbury, and 160 in various other places, the
information about which was forwarded to the Medical Officer of Health by
the Registrar General.
