Note.—The standard illuminating power of the Gas supplied by the Gas Company is
lb sperm candles. Sulphur not to exceed 22 grains in the 100 cubic feet of Gas on an
average of three days. Ammonia not to exceed 4 grains in the 100 cubic feet of Gas on
an average of three days.
The Standard Burner used in testing is known as " Sugg's London Argand, No. 1."
Pressure between Sunset and Midnight to be equal to a column of one inch of water.
,, between Midnight and Sunrise to be equal to a column of six.tenths of an
inch of water.
