appearing. These two Authorities are fortunate in receiving into their
employment such a highly experienced, efficient and loyal band of
workers—and those who remain in the service of the City Council deserve
a tribute no less warm or sincere.
I should like to place on record my appreciation of the consideration
and active co-operation given by the Chairman of the Public Health
and Maternity and Child Welfare Committee, the Committee itself, other
Members of the Council and my colleagues, the other Chief Officers.
