INSPECTION OF MEAT
On the outbreak of war the wholesale distribution of meat
from the Central Market in the Metropolis was decentralised.
Various distributing depots were opened, including one in
westminster.
Throughout the war daily inspections by the Council's
Sanitary Inspectors have been maintained and the meat passing
through the Depot has been examined before despatch to retail
shops.
