†Cases of overcrowding which have arisen since the completion of the survey in
1935.
Nuisances.—Intimation notices were served in 1,471 instances, the
number of premises concerned being 1,433. Statutory notices authorised
by the sanitary authority numbered 73 and related to 70 premises. Police
court proceedings were taken in 5 instances in order to enforce
compliance with the requirements of statutory notices :—
