1,604 deaths were registered in the City during 1935. After
deducting 938 deaths of non-citizens in public institutions, etc., in
the City, and adding those of 770 citizens who died in other districts,
the corrected total is 1,436 as compared with 1,466 in 1934, and is
equivalent to an annual crude rate of 11.5 per 1,000 persons compared
with 11.8 last year.
The London death-rate for 1935 was 11-4 and for England and
Wales, 11-7.
