Whooping Cough.—95 cases were notified during the year, with
9 deaths (9.4% of the cases notified), 32 cases were moved to hospital,
28 being between the ages of 1 and 5. The death rate for
Westminster was 0.07, for London 0.07, and for England and Wales
0.05.
The deaths from whooping cough during the last five years are thus set out:— Table XXXVII.

Cerebro.spinal Fever.—4 cases of this disease occurred with
1 death.
Poliomyelitis.—5 cases occurred.
Chicken Pox.—146 cases occurred, 41 being moved to hospital.
Mumps.—105 cases were recorded, 15 cases being moved to hospital.
Puerperal Fever.—5 cases were notified. All cases were removed to
hospital.
