Report on Schick Testing and Immunisation Treatment against
Diphtheria in Westminster, 1934, by Dr. Ian S. Thomson,
Assistant Medical Officer of Health.
This treatment was continued throughout the year at the Council's
maternity and child welfare centres, and at the Westminster Health
Society's centre. One clinic is held at each centre each week.
249 cases were dealt with during the year, as compared with 121 and
140 in 1933 and 1932 respectively.
The increased number of applicants became apparent towards the
end of 1933 and continued through 1934 and may be ascribed to the
greater incidence of diphtheria during the period.
New cases attended the centres as follows:—

Bessborough Street 22
