Modernisation of Public Mortuaries :—This subject has recently
drawn a great deal of public attention. In November the Medical

Horseferry Road up to date, and a sub-committee was formed to deal
with matters relating to staff and premises. The work of this subcommittee
will be fully reported upon next year.
The number of bodies taken to the mortuary for purposes of
inquest, and to await burial, during the last 30 years is set out as
follows:—
