Infant clinics in connection with the maternity departments of
Charing Cross, Westminster, St. George's, Middlesex, and the General
Lying-in Hospitals are held weekly in those institutions, but they do not
come within the maternity and child welfare scheme of the Council, nor
do the clinics at the Infants' Hospital, Vincent Square.
The Council's arrangement with St. George's Hospital for the admission
of cases recommended by the Council's officers remains in force. It is in
operation over the area served by the centres at Pimlico Road and
Bessborough Street.

The following table shows the nature of certain conditions for which nursing visits were paid:— Table X.

Ophthalmia neonatorum has been notifiable since 1911. The percentage of mild (non-purulent) and notified (purulent) cases in relation to births from the year 1921 is as follows:— Table XI.
