WESTMINSTER TUBERCULOSIS DISPENSARY.
Report by the Tuberculosis Officer of the "Work of the
Dispensary during 1927.
The work of the Tuberculosis Dispensary has been carried out throughout
the year without any radical change in the routine.
Four hundred and twenty-eight new cases were examined during
the year, of whom 185 were considered to be definitely tuberculous.
In 1925 and 1926 there were 395 and 446 new cases respectively.
There has thus been a decrease of 18 new cases as compared with last
year. When it is considered that there has been a decrease of 43 in
the total number of notifications in Westminster, and presumably a
corresponding decrease in the number of contact cases available for
examination, the figure for new cases examined at the Dispensary may be
considered fairly satisfactory.
